Terms of service
The rules for using VideoConsistency. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
Last updated 18 October 2026
Who you are dealing with
VideoConsistency (videoconsistency.com) is run by SJ1 ehf., a company registered in Iceland. When these terms say "we" or "us", that is SJ1 ehf. When you use the site, your agreement is with SJ1 ehf. You can reach us at sindri@johannsson.io.
By creating an account or continuing to use the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What the service does
You upload a video. We read it with AI models, look for places where people, clothes, props, places and light stop matching, and give you a report with a score, timecodes, evidence frames and written fixes. Paid features can also redraw a single shot with the fix applied ("Fix this shot").
Your account
- You need to be at least 18, or old enough to sign a contract where you live. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
- Give a real email address and keep it current.
- Keep access to your email safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Plans, credits and payment
Analysis is a monthly plan priced per 10 minutes of video. Fixing shots uses credits, which come with the plan or can be bought in packs. Prices are shown on the pricing page and before every purchase or credit charge.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, renewal and cancellation are covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Plans renew each month until you cancel. Refunds are described in our refund policy.
Your videos and results
You keep all rights to the videos you upload and to the reports and fixed shots you get back. You give us a limited permission to store, copy, process and send your videos to our service providers only so we can run the service for you. We do not use your videos to advertise or sell anything.
You must own your videos or have permission to use them, including the people who appear in them. You are responsible for what you upload, what you ask a fix to change, and what you do with the results.
What you may not do
- Break the law, or upload sexual content, content involving minors, graphic violence, or anything illegal.
- Make deepfakes of real people without their consent, or use the service for harassment, hate, fraud or spam.
- Upload material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
- Try to break into, overload, probe or scrape the service, spread malware, or get around limits, plan checks or content filters.
- Reverse engineer the service, resell it, or offer it to others as your own.
We screen uploads and may refuse, remove or restrict content, or refuse an output, when we think it breaks these rules.
Copyright complaints
If you think something on the service infringes your rights, email sindri@johannsson.io with the content, the rights you hold and your contact details. We will look into it and remove it if the complaint holds. Accounts that infringe repeatedly are closed.
AI results can be wrong
The check is careful, but AI models make mistakes. A report can miss a break or flag one that is not there, and a fixed shot can change things you did not ask for. Look at the results yourself before you rely on them. They are not professional advice.
Our property
The software, design, documentation, name and branding of VideoConsistency belong to SJ1 ehf. Within your plan you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available, fast or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. You agree to cover our costs from claims caused by your content or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, non-payment, or a security or fraud risk. You can stop using the service and delete your runs at any time. When an account closes, its videos and reports are deleted within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.
Other things
- We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
- You may not transfer your account without our consent. We may transfer these terms if the business is sold or merged.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- These terms are governed by Icelandic law, and disputes go to the District Court of Reykjavík, unless consumer law where you live gives you other rights.
