$9 a month for every 10 minutes of video
$27 / month
30 minutes of video a month
01How minutes count
You pay for the video, once
- A video uses its full length
- Measured once, the first time it runs. Every shot, start to finish.
- Running it again is free
- Same upload, same report page, no extra minutes. However many times.
- A failed run uses nothing
- Minutes are held while it works and come back if it stops part way.
- Minutes reset monthly
- On the day you subscribed. Leftovers do not carry over.
- Change size whenever
- Up is charged pro rata straight away. Down starts at the next renewal.
That needs the 30 minutes plan: $27 a month, with 7 minutes left over for other videos.
02What a run does
What your minutes buy
The whole video gets read, in parts if it is long, with no cap on length. Each shot is broken down into who is in it, what they wear and hold, where they stand, which way they face, the light, the room and the camera.
Every later appearance is then held up against the first clear look at that person, prop or place, not against the shot before it. A second read follows only the staging and the room. Each break comes back with its timecode, the earlier frame next to the frame where it changed, and a fix written out as plain text you can copy.
The score is worked out from that list of problems by a fixed formula, so the same report always gives the same number. You can see how on the method page.
03Fixing a shot
Credits, and you only pay for full quality once it worked
Under every written fix there is a button that redraws the shot with the fix applied. You get a low-res draft first, side by side with your original, and an automatic check tells you whether the problem is gone and whether anything else moved.
The first draft of every fix is free on any plan. Without a plan you get one free draft to try it. Another draft, and the full-quality file in 720p or 1080p, cost credits. The price is shown on the button before you press it and depends on how long the shot is. A 4-second shot is about 20 credits for another draft, 45 for 720p and 100 for 1080p.
Every 10 minutes of plan includes 30 credits a month. More come in packs of 100 credits for $10, and bought credits never expire. If a render fails, the credits go back on their own.
04Questions
The small print, in big print
What counts as a minute?
The full length of the video you upload, measured once, the first time it is analyzed. A 4 minute clip uses 4 minutes of your plan. A 63 minute film uses 63. Running the same video again later is free.
What happens if a run fails?
The minutes are held while the analysis runs and handed straight back if it stops part way. You only use minutes on a finished report.
Do unused minutes carry over?
No. Your minutes reset on the same day every month, the day you first subscribed. If you keep running out, raise the plan for a month and lower it again after.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Any time, from your plan page. Going up charges the difference for the rest of the month right away and the extra minutes are there at once. Going down starts at your next renewal, so you keep what you paid for until then. Cancelling keeps the plan working to the end of the month.
Who takes the payment?
Our reseller Paddle.com runs the checkout and the billing. Paddle is the merchant of record, so they are the seller on the receipt, they handle sales tax and VAT, and your card details never touch this site.
What about very long videos?
There is no length cap. An hour-long video is read the whole way through in parts and needs a plan with at least an hour left. If you need more than ten hours a month, email me and we will sort something out.
Something else? Email sindri@johannsson.io.
Got a video that needs checking?
Upload it and the page tells you how long it is before anything is used. If your plan covers it, the report comes back in a few minutes for most clips.
